I love to see old-fashioned shops thriving in the face of modern megastores, and I'm delighted that this little shop is still going. Specialising in trains and models, they sell more traditional toys and I have a particularly fond spot for this place as, in about 1985, having come out of seeing Return of the Jedi at the now sadly defunct ABC Cinema across the road (which has been replaced with a spanking new Odeon), my parents took me straight into this shop to buy my first action figures from that film. It seemed slightly magical to me then and I'm pleased to say there's still a little touch of that every time I go past.
