Based on Vogrie Estate, previously owned by the Dewar family from early
1700's to 1928, this 260-acre site includes Vogrie House, a 40 room Victorian
listed building, which has some excellent architectural detail. There
is also a Victorian walled garden and glasshouses. The rest of the site
includes some original Victorian parkland with over 5 miles of signposted
walks through woods, grasslands, and by rivers and ponds, as well as a
9-hole golf course, adventure playground and bookable barbecue sites.
A miniature railway, offering rides, runs most Sunday afternoons throughout
the summer. The Ranger Service run events and activities throughout the
year for the public, schools, groups and clubs.
