Paradoxically, Teuchters as a pub could not be more unlike its name. A teuchter is a disparaging term for a highlander or an uncouth countrified person. This bar is a modern, atmospheric pub decorated in polished wood and stone, with wooden furniture, sofas and booths. It also contains a rather pleasant restaurant area. Teuchters serves some of the best upmarket beers such as 1664 Blanc and Hoegaarden, as well as some fine Scotish ales. The malt whiskies are in proud stock and will warm the cockles of any mortal.
