St. Mary's Cathedral

This impressive cathedral was built in 1874, as the result of an architectural competition. Architectural features of note include the unique internal diagonal buttresses supporting the 270ft. main spire. The spectacular millennium window in the South Transept, rose and three lancets, was designed by Sir Eduardo Paolozzi and dedicated in 2002.
