Part of the very impressive Scotsman Hotel, which stands, oddly enough, on the North Bridge, the North Bridge Brasserie is the kind of place that can cater for pretty much every type of night out. Downstairs the tables are larger - suitable for 4 or more people, and are situated alongside the bar, serving all sorts of cocktails as well as the usual beers and wines. Upstairs is much more intimate, cream walls and chairs with the majority of tables being for two people. The menu changes frequently and there's a good selection of dishes, plus there's a smaller pre-theatre menu as well. Definitely worth bearing in mind, whatever the occasion!
