Stan Wood opened this shop in 1988 after realising there was a market for selling on the many and varied important fossil finds he had made across Scotland. There's now a range of fossils and minerals from all over the world, including items like shark and dinosaur teeth, fossil fish and ammonites. The staff are also very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. I have to say, if someone gave me a gift of a 1,000,000-year-old extinct fish, I'd think that was pretty cool.
