Edinburgh Mela
3rd - 4th September 2005

Running since 1995, the Mela was founded by members of the city's Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi communities to celebrate our cultural diversity with a weekend of dance, music and exhibitions. The celebration also marks the end of Festival high season. A wide range of acts will take over Pilrig Park, just off Leith Walk, for the weekend. Entrance to the park is free, with charges for some of the major musical events. A very family friendly atmosphere, there is even a special installation for kids
