Hectors
47-49 Deanhaugh Street
0131 343 1735
I only found out recently that this used to be a pub called "The
Shambles", which was based on the medieval street in York, and its
loss was much lamented by the friend who told me. Nowadays, all glass
and manners, this upmarket bar in the heart of Stockbridge would be a
major pre-clubbing venue, if there were any clubs nearby. As it is, I
imagine there are still a number of social butterflies who pop in here
for a G&T or an alcopop, perhaps even a light dinner, before heading
up into town to dance the night away and look beautiful.
