There is absolutely no question why this pub is in here; because they serve very good cask conditioned real ales. And there are also some interesting imports and, believe it or not, mead. It's pretty much a men's old-fashioned drinking den of a place, with a big central wooden bar and a plethora of regulars who would most likely die rather than drink elsewhere. However, it still attracts a cross section of society, including a fair number of tourists. Friendly and good quality, this is where guid honest Scotsmen come tae drink.
