There are many Irish brethren amongst the Edinburgh population and their shared passion for public houses makes for many an Irish pub. Biddy's is Grassmarket central, boasting an atmosphere that most librarians could only imagine. Hen night ensembles descend upon Biddy's with astonishing frequency and it is not uncommon to be asked to kiss a woman bearing devil horns and 'Learner Driver' plates. Easy to get swept up in, Biddy's probably has got great beer and an appealing interior, but it's hard to leave the place with memories intact.
